Leanne Graduated from Teesside University, Middlesbrough with a 1st Class Honours in Physiotherapy. She is accredited with the Health and Care Professions Council and has full Chartered Physiotherapy status.
She initially worked in the NHS for over 2 years progressing her knowledge and skills as a physiotherapist. She learned how to tailor treatments to the individual and the importance of empathy in treating pain. She has a broad range of clinical experience having worked in ICU, surgical wards and community rehabilitation, which has given her an excellent grounding in the medical aspects of healthcare.
Within her time in the NHS she actively worked as a Union Representative working for her colleagues with issues that arose within the workplace, one of which was to fight for pay parity for healthcare workers in Northern Ireland.
Since leaving the NHS she has worked full time in the private healthcare setting and loves the challenge of assessing and treating whatever comes through the door. She has a keen interest in the technique and rehabilitation of weight lifting injuries and feels her knowledge is continuing to thrive in this area.
She has completed her APPI Pilates Training and has joined the team in running weekly classes.
Outside of work she enjoys baking honing in her own physical fitness through regular weight lifting and running.
